The Future of Crop Protection and Soil Nutrition.

Supporting Solutions

Modern agriculture relies on a set of synthetic chemical inputs — each with serious long-term consequences for health, environment, soil and food security.

The Association for Advanced Crop Protection (AACP) is a Virginia-based non-profit formed after 10+ years of due diligence methods to improve food security. Advanced crop protection includes all alternatives to synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, as well as all methods for reducing the use of synthetic inputs.

The AACP selects only the world’s most credible, proven members across weed control, pest management, disease prevention and soil nutrition.

The Opportunity

The global transition away from synthetic crop inputs is already generating significant commercial momentum.

Solutions we support include:

  • Electrical and laser weeding — zero chemical inputs
  • Autonomous robotic weeding & crop management
  • Bioherbicides, Bioinsecticides and Biofungicides
  • Precision technology optimizing application rates of synthetic inputs
  • Microbial feeds and inoculants
  • Biological soil amendments & waste-based fertilizers

The Role We Play

  1. EDUCATION for farmers, policymakers and supply chains on advanced crop protection solutions — via social media, mainstream media, and face-to-face events.
  2. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE to policymakers on reducing regulatory barriers and designing farmer incentive programs for the transition to safer and more stable alternatives.
  3. SPENDING STRATEGIES for government and private funding sources to enable the scaling of advanced crop protection solutions locally and globally.
